    CMMS Training and Support Specialist (Year Round) - Yellowstone National Park, WY

    The CMMS Training and Support Specialist Reports directly to the Engineering Office Manager. The position of CMMS Training and Support Specialist was established for developing, implementing, and conducting CMMS training to provide all Maximo users with the information and the development of skills necessary to collect data and to support the Engineering Department’s asset and maintenance program and to fulfill our NPS contractual reporting obligations.

     

    This position is full time year round position is based out of Mammoth Hot Springs. This position is eligible for benefits including health-care, paid vacation, sick time, and 401k. This position does not come with company provided housing. Most employees secure housing in Gardiner, Emigrant, or Livingston, MT.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    1. Develop, coordinate, and conduct Maximo CMMS training for Maximo users in various applications and across various departments.
    2. Develop and conduct training including mentoring, coaching, on-the-job and classroom training, e-learning, and workshops.
    3. Maintain face-to-face relationships with users in all regions of the park and remain cognizant of the skill level and performance standards of persons in key Maximo roles.
    4. Develop and administer practical tests to assess the success of training, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement these improvements.
    5. Maintain current and accurate training records.
    6. Create manuals and desk reference guides for new processes, and update existing documentation as processes change; disseminate guides to appropriate users in a timely manner.
    7. Design, establish, and maintain a document management system for Maximo guides, manuals, and other related documentation.
    8. Serve as the Maximo ‘Help Desk’ to answer user process questions and resolve issues.
    9. Communicate regularly with trainees; analyze feedback from users and recommend changes to the Maximo user interface or data structure based on feedback.
    10. Working under the supervision of the CMMS System Administrator, train to serve as the backup system administrator.
    11. Performing other duties and tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of the IBM Maximo program or other CMMS program.
    • Have a talent for, and successful experience in, developing and conducting training.
    • Experience in creating process documentation; good command of grammar, spelling, and technical writing skills.
    • Experience in IT System Administration in a remote computing environment a plus.
    • SQL experience a plus.
    • Have exceptional organizational skills.
    • Be an effective, inspiring, persuasive, passionate communicator.
    • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office software suite.
    • Possess a desire to learn new skills, tools and techniques.
    • Be an energetic self-starter.
    • Be at least 21 years of age and possess a current, valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
    • Must be able to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.
    • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and crawl for long periods of time as required.
    • Work requires extended periods of time sitting at a desk using a computer.

    AUTHORITIES:
