  • Overview

    Complete all assigned painting projects for the Rooms Department facilities.

    Responsibilities

    • Complete work orders regarding interior painting in a timely, thorough and cost effective manner.
    • Perform work in a manner that promotes paint durability and ensures high quality results.
    • Maintain high levels of quality control throughout painting projects while working with limited supervision.
    • Maintain a clean work site and do cleanup of site to housekeeping standards.
    • Ensure that painting projects adhere to all company and National Park Service environmental policies in the application, mixing, disposal, storage and transport of paint and associated paint products.
    • Strictly follow all company and departmental policies and procedures, including chemical/cleaning policies and Lost and Found procedures.
    • Adhere to all Sustainability programs as trained.
    • Wear required personal protective equipment or weather appropriate attire for work in all four (4) weather seasons/conditions while performing tasks.
    • Ability to communicate with a 2-way device with ear piece at all times while on duty.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum two-years of experience as a commercial painter.
    • Working knowledge of National Fire Code requirements pertaining to storage and use of paint products.
    • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and project the image of professionalism, friendliness and willingness to provide personalized service to our varied customer base.
    • Ability to pass respirator medical screening, fit testing and any related training required.
    • Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with the company Driver Safety Program.
    • Possess physical ability to perform tasks of the position including, but not limited to ascending/descending ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds and repetitive motion of all extremities and the back including kneeling, bending, twisting, and lifting.
