  • Overview

    Responsible for proper flow of linen and staff usage to meet daily production deadlines.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain proper flow of linen, resulting in quality customer service. Can include assigning laundry utility staff, uniform center staff, and maintaining laundry truck/operations.
    • Maintain equipment (machinery, bins, shelves, etc.) to insure proper working order, immediately report any malfunctions to Maintenance Department, Laundry Manager or Facilities Manager.
    • Become familiar and adept with all areas of laundry responsibility. Ensure that all employees meet the department standards for safe and effective use of all equipment. Report to Laundry Manager on the behavior and/or performance of the employees assigned to them.
    • Train and coach employees on the duties of laundry utility and laundry driver.
    • Enforce safety regulations, precautions and information to provide a safe working atmosphere for self and assigned employees.
    • Control keys, vehicle and master keys.
    • Maintain sanitary environment at all times to include machinery, floors, work areas and employee areas.
    • Communicate effectively with Laundry Manager, Rooms Department Management and Maintenance.
    • Assume duties of laundry utility, uniform center attendant or laundry driver when necessary and be able to effectively carry out duties of any working lead shift assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Working knowledge and foundation of laundry operations.
    • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
    • Ability to communicate information to a diverse group of employees in a clear and respectful manner.
    • Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days and comply with Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
