    The Greeter/Cashier greets and acknowledges the guests and employees in a professional manner; is knowledgeable of menu items, cash handling practices and displays qualities of being a team player.




    • Follow all policy, procedures and service standards.
    • Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.    
    • Count issued bank before and after shift.
    • Greet guests.
    • Roll silverware when time allows.
    • Wipe down all menus (dessert/beer/wine) used on your shift. Stock ALOHA paper.
    • Check for groups.
    • Stock supplies.
    • Answer phone calls in a professional manner and take messages when necessary.
    • Organize and clean shelves in station.
    • Use appropriate language and keep voices down.
    • Be a team player.  Help others whenever possible.
    • Reconcile all paperwork, count out company funds and drop in appropriate areas.


    • Previous experience in a cash handling position preferably in the Hospitality Industry.
    • Ability to display and practice being a team player.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
    • Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds occasionally.
