Assist the Distribution Center Manager in all phases of the Retail Distribution Center operation.




  • Responsible for oversight of Distribution Center operations in the absence of the Manager.
  • Assists the Manager in the selection, training, scheduling and supervision of the Distribution Center staff.
  • Ensures that all merchandise flowing into the warehouse is received properly, correctly tagged, properly stored, and accurately billed to the gift stores.
  • Coordinate all activities between the distribution center and the stores to ensure smooth and efficient flow of merchandise.
  • Works with the IT department to ensure all software is properly maintained and problems are properly reported.
  • Accurately prepare invoices to be paid by accounting.
  • Responsible for supervising all South Rim, Tusayan Trading Post, The Grand and Grand Canyon Railway yearly inventories.
  • Ensure that damaged merchandise is returned to vendor, properly credited, or disposed of.
  • Minimize shrinkage by conducting scheduled cycle counts of specified merchandise.
  • Maintains good housekeeping of the facility.
  • Work closely with corporate retail staff on merchandise needs, pricing, and slow sellers.
  • Assists with the maintenance and care of the retail vehicles.
  • Assists in supervising all phases of the Online Store operation.
  • Adhere to all safety, risk management and sustainability policies.
  • Ensure that staff is adhering to all safety and risk management policies while performing tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Working knowledge of all phases of receiving, merchandise preparation, shipping and control of damaged goods.
  • Three-years of retail or other high volume distribution center experience.
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel or similar word processing/spreadsheet software programs, plus inventory tracking/purchasing software. Knowledge of Raymark system preferred.
  • Ability to train new employees in proper paperwork process and ergonomics of the position.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and comply with the Grand Canyon National Park Lodges vehicle policy.
  • Possess physical ability to safely lift and carry up to fifty pounds.
