Overview

 

 The Reservations Department for Yellowstone is based in Mammoth Hot Springs in the northern region of the park. The reservations operations include a call center and online reservations, as well as group reservations sales. Everything from lodging and campgrounds to tours and dinner reservations are booked through the property management system (LMS by Agilysis.) This position will work closely with reservations department management and IT leadership to ensure the property management system (including the phone and online components) is operating at peak performance.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  1. Support Yellowstone National Park hospitality reservation operations through a deep understanding of the design, functionality, and limitations of all related programs including LMS (Lodging Management Systems), on-line reservations systems (Resnet), and NEC call management systems.
  2. Provide day-to-day end-user tech support and trouble-shooting for all related Yellowstone National Park reservations systems including LMS, on-line reservations systems, and NEC call management systems. 
  3. Enter and maintain master database files related to the LMS and on-line reservation system, as directed by the Manager, RM and Systems Support and/or Assistant Director, Reservations Sales. This includes updating rates, dates, and availability for lodging, campgrounds, and all services within Yellowstone’s Activity Reservation System (ARTS).
  4. Participate in ongoing departmental cross-training to gain insights on how to improve guest service, streamline or change procedures, and consolidate office functions.
  5. Partner with lodging, activity, and food and beverage staff to ensure training libraries in the Lodging Management System are accurate and effective on a continual basis.
  6. Develop and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reports as requested by Yellowstone’s management teams.
  7. Other department-related projects as assigned.
  8. Maintain safe facilities; complete required NPS/Corporate safety programs and inspections. Provide necessary review; accident investigation and follow-up.
  9. Maintain awareness of and compliance with the company “Ecologix” program and be conscientious of own actions in improving the environment.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: 

  1. Thorough analytical and technical knowledge of hospitality reservations systems.
  2. Ability to operate computers in general, NEC Call Management Systems, Reservations Management systems, and Microsoft Office.
  3. Time management, organization, and project planning skills.

  6. Excellent attention to detail skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

 

  1. Ability to sit for long periods of time – 75% of workday
  2. Ability to work 40+ hours/week when necessary – 25% of workday
  3. Ability to work in a higher altitude environment – 100% of workday

  1. To develop and maintain system setups as directed by the Manager, Revenue Management and Systems Support and/or the Assistant Director, Reservations Sales.
  2. To enforce company and Reservation Department standards, policies, and procedures.
