Yellowstone National Park employees not only work hard, they play hard, too. Our summer season positions typically run from mid-April through late October.


Yellowstone National Park Lodges operates 9 comfortable lodging facilities offering over 2,300 guest rooms and 5 Camgpround Facitilities.


Candidates interested in front desk positions in Yellowstone are drawn to the unique opportunity to work in the world’s first national park and should be enthusiastic about Xanterra’s sustainability initiatives and mission to provide ‘legendary hospitality with a softer footprint’. Our front desk employees are not only highly knowledgeable of the layout and operations at their own location, but also possess a vast knowledge of the park and its surrounding areas and are eager to make recommendations to our guests.


Candidates applying for the front desk will be considered for one of the following positions:


    • Guest Service Agent
      • Guest Service Agent staff offer up the first impression and best service to guests staying in our hotels and lodges. The ability to provide friendly, knowledgeable and caring help is the most important aspect of this job. 
    • Night Guest Service Agent
      • Night Guest Service Agent is the "overnight" front desk worker in the hotel. When on duty, this position is responsible for checking in guests along with the completion of Night GSA duties for each shift. 
    • Campground Guest Services Agent   
      • A Campground Guest Service Agent in Yellowstone is primarily responsible for welcoming and registering guests in the computer-based system to the campsite as closely suited to their needs as possible.  Typing and cash handling skills required.  Lifting requirements of 25 lbs. 
      • Most of our Campground positions encourage applicants to have their own RV due to limited dormitory housing and distance from housing to campgrounds.  Please list relevant work experience on your application. 


  • To provide excellent guest service in an efficient manner.

  • Must be flexible and open to changes in procedures.
