 Audit Clerk

 

The Audit Clerk supports and assists the Location Controller and Assistant Location Controller in all aspects of location accounting responsibilities. The Audit Clerk is primarily responsible for cash handling, data entry and guest service to other departments. 

 

The position can begin in late April - late May and can end as late as mid-October. 
 

Night Auditor

The Night Auditor supports the location accounting department by compiling and summarizing the location's daily sales.  The Night Auditor generally works in the middle of the night, 11pm-7am, without direct supervision at location, with a focus on organization and data entry.

Relief Night Auditor
 

Relief Night Auditors perform night audit duties in multiple location accounting offices around Yellowstone National Park.  Because this positon requires a personal vehicle for travel through the park each night, the Relief Night Auditor must provide a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance. More information will be provided during the hiring process.

 

The position can begin in late April-late May and can end as late as mid-October.
 

Accounting Clerk

The primary responsibility of an Accounting Clerk is to assist in the daily operation of the department they are assigned to in the General Accounting Office (GAO) for Xanterra Parks & Resorts located at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone.

Uniform standard for this position is business casual. No jeans or shorts while on duty. The company does not provide uniform clothing for this position.

 

Location Controller/ Assistant (Management)

The Location Controller is expected to manage the operation of the location accounting office, ensuring accurate reporting of sales revenue, security of location monetary assets, and the supervision of location accounting personnel. Previous Yellowstone/Location Accounting experience preferred.

 

The position typically begins in mid April and ends in September or October, depending on the location.

Qualifications for Accounting Clerk position in GAO include but are not limited to:

  • Accounting degree and/or related work experience.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Motivational, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Office machine skills, especially PC experience.
  • Experience with Excel, Word and Lawson GL.
  • Able to work for the majority of time sitting at a desk.
  • Walking, standing and bending are required when documentation is to be put into or retrieved from filing cabinets. 
  • Lifting and transporting up to 25-50 pounds is required for record storage.
