Overview

Provide general office support with a variety of clerical duties.  Responsible for answering incoming telephone calls, greeting visitors to the Human Resources office, and assisting with new employee onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Handles multi-line, incoming phone traffic in a professional manner. Screens and directs calls to the appropriate person(s).
  • Greets walk-in employees, applicants and guests and directs them to appropriate person or provides correct information to inquiries.
  • Greets new arrivals and guides new employees through the entire onboarding process.
  • Completes online I-9 form properly and creates Employee ID Cards.
  • Sets up employee files for future arrivals, including creation of labels and recycling of folios.
  • Handles requests for employment applications, mails applications out the same day as requested and/or provides instructions on how to apply online
  • Directs/controls visitor traffic in the office, notifying managers of visitors.
  • Assists with employee check-ins, filing, mail distribution and other office duties as directed.
  • Assists with the majority of routine janitorial functions for office.
  • Monitor and respond to email communications and keep up with outlook calendar.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a large number of visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that arise.
  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure at times.
  • Good phone etiquette skills and understanding of phone systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive personnel information and hold it in strict confidence, maintaining confidentiality of personnel information at all times.
  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook for basic/moderate level functions.

This is an hourly position with the wage of $10.91/hour
