We are actively seeking candidates for our Summer 2018 Team who are looking to take a break from the daily grind and step into the peaceful environment of one of the world's oldest national parks.


Our operation features 2 separate areas within the Park - Rim Village and Mazama Village. We have 3 dining facilities, 3 retail outlets, a campground, cabins, and lodge. We also offer daily boat tours for our guests.


Southern Oregon offers diverse recreational opportunities for your days off - we have deserts, rainforests, mountains, marshes, and the Pacific Ocean is only a few hours away. Of course, the gem of the entire region is Crater Lake!



Summary: The Retail Warehouse Clerk monitors and maintains stable and consistent flow of products from receipt to distribution. Maintains organized work environment to ensure proper storage, stocking, and tracking of all products. Performs all duties with attention to detail and enthusiasm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Performs all duties with the ultimate goal of providing exemplary guest service.

-Receives, loads, and unloads various retail products from Mazama Warehouse, vendors, suppliers, and shipping agencies.

-Accurately processes, sorts, and stores products in Rim Gift Shop Warehouse; maintains awareness of safety and fire exits.

-Checks each shipment against invoices and delivery slips to ensure inventory accuracy and condition. Communicates any discrepancies or issues with Retail Manager and Data Entry Clerk in a timely manner.

-Assists with filling orders for online store as directed by Retail Manager.

-Assists with restocking product on displays in Rim Gift Shop.

-Follows all safety procedures as they relate to handling heavy materials including proper use of dolly, proper lifting techniques, and maintaining a safe workspace.

-Uses Raymark system to accurately process retail transactions. Performs all transaction processes as instructed by Retail Director and Retail Manager.

-Answers phones and radio in specific timeframe; follows guidelines and uses correct greetings and etiquette.

-Maintains positive and professional communications at all times, with all persons, face-to-face, via phone, and via radio.

-Provides excellent guest service by adhering to Xanterra’s hospitality standards and Core Values.

-Assists with functions of Rim Gift Shop as directed by Retail Manager.

-Stocks product as necessary; ensures all displays are kept stocked, neat, and clean at all times.

-Maintains a safe work area. Reports all unsafe, or potentially unsafe, situations to Retail Manager in a timely manner.

-Keeps workspace (indoor and outdoor) clean; this includes sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, recycling, and trash removal.

-Performs all duties with consideration of the Company’s environmental commitment.

-Assists with inventory control, receiving, and merchandise display.

-Discusses concerns directly with management. Alerts management to loss control issues, guest problems and concerns.

-Maintains a positive working relationship with Managers and co-workers.

-Adheres to all Company uniform and appearance standards.

-Provides constructive feedback to management to ensure maintenance, safety, and efficiency needs within facilities are communicated.

-Maintains working knowledge of emergency fire evacuation and safety procedures.

-Follows all NPS lost and found policies at all times.

-Follows all PCI compliance guidelines and policies. Protects guest confidentiality at all times, including any information that may be used to access guest internet.

-Cooperates with Warehouse Crew to maintain cleanliness of Waste Management areas, including trash and recycling.

-Performs other duties as assigned with positivity and professionalism.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.




Qualifications, Experience, Physical Demands:

-Prior experience in seasonal hospitality, especially National Park(s) highly preferred.

-Prior experience and working knowledge of retail processes highly preferred.

-Prior experience with shipping and receiving highly preferred.

-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and coworkers.

-Prior experience with Raymark preferred.

-First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

-Valid U.S. driver’s license preferred.

-Physically able to: repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday, perform all duties in various weather, walk/stand/bend/reach throughout the workday, load and unload deliveries and shipments, repeatedly climb and descend stairs throughout workday, work with required chemicals, stand in a small area for extended periods of time.
