    1. Performs all planned and scheduled workload, ensuring quality of work, timeliness and cost effectiveness.
    2. Performs carpentry assessments, preventative maintenance and repairs/replacements of new and/or existing building systems.
    3. Accountable for accurately documenting labor and materials used on jobs and for ordering of items needed for job completion or inventory replacement per company procedure.
    4. Maintain effective communications with management on status of all projects and work orders.
    5. Ensures proper work method and products used on historic and non-historic structures.
    6. Responsible for working safely and complying with all company policies and procedures.
    7. Responsible for ensuring all work is performed in compliance with current codes.
    8. Assist with coordinating tasks with the Engineering Department, Parkwide trade personnel and Location Management.
    9. Safeguards the care, maintenance and security of all assigned equipment and tools.
    10. Maintains a spirit of cooperation within the department and throughout all properties.
    11. Responsible for adhering to Xanterra’s Ecologix program.
    12. Performs other duties as assigned.




    • Minimum of 3 years of professional carpentry experience.
    • Good verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction.
    • Good organizational skills with the ability to plan and complete work on schedule.
    • Knowledge and proper application of various grades and types of wood and other building materials.
    • Proficiency in the proper use of tools common to the carpentry trade including power tools, including the proper care and maintenance of all tools.
    • Proficiency required in the layout and construction of all phases of rough carpentry, framing and forming as well as the ability to layout and construct all types of millwork, such as cabinets, counter tops, shelving, windows and doors.
    • Possess a working knowledge of all building codes and standards.
    • Ability to efficiently schedule tasks to ensure timely arrival of material and equipment and work completion.
    • Must be able to read, understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
    • Must possess a current, valid, driver’s license with a good driving record.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.




    • This position will require the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations, including a clean-shaven face.
    • Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Possess the physical stamina to withstand heavy, labor-related work in an outside environment, including standing, bending, kneeling, and crawling for extended periods of time when required.
    • Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.
