Overview

Being a Guest Room Attendant is about being part of a team and caring about the comfort of our guests and accommodation cleanliness. They are responsible for cleaning guest rooms and making them comfortable and inviting according to the property hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide our guests with the best in housekeeping service, courtesy and care.
  • Follow all policy, procedures and service standards.
  • Clean and prepare assigned guest accommodations to standards including making beds, removing dirty linens, bathrooms, polishing furniture, cleaning outside guest rooms patio and porch areas, in hallways, and surrounding grounds in a timely manner.
  • Reports rooms ready for occupancy as soon as they are cleaned.

  • Control all keys, master and guest room keys, and maintain security of guest rooms, both vacant and occupied.

  • Strictly follow standards in dealing with guest property and lost and found procedures. Immediately report lost and found items to Inspector or Manager.

  • Follow all confidentiality policies maintaining guest privacy.
  • Follows PCI training regarding credit cards. Turns in any credit card immediately.
  • Complete linen counts as required.
  • Maintain linen storage areas, Room Attendant cart and related equipment.
  • Follow all safety and haz com instructions in use of all chemicals and cleaning agents.
  • Follow all Risk Management procedures including performing morning stretches and safe lifting technics.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and communications skills
  • Possess organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow instructions and count accurately; follows work patterns consistently.
  • Making beds, stripping rooms, cleaning toilets for up to 8 hours per shift
  • Ability to work safely with required chemicals up to 8 hours a day following personal protective equipment instructions listed on chemical containers.
  • Able to meet physical requirements of job which include walking, standing, bending, twisting, occasional lifting up to 100 pounds, frequent pushing or pulling 10-40 pounds, with ability to climb three flights of stairs on a repetitive basis during an 8 hour shift.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have at least 1 year of guest service or customer service experience
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner and be productive with minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to withstand a range of outside weather conditions (heat/cold, rain/snow) including prolonged exposure to sunlight for assigned shift
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays.
