Holiday Vacations is seeking several Seasonal Tour Sales Consultants to work under the supervision of the Tour Consultant Manager. These positions are responsible for providing excellent customer service by handling customer telephone and walk-in inquiries and reservations for our guided group tours.  

 

These positions are seasonal; we are looking to hire people in early November and continue through sometime in April, depending on business needs. There is potential to be hired on regular full time in April, depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Participates fully as a team member to assist in completing all functions related to servicing internal and external customers
  • Receives and handles in-bound customer inquiries regarding various components of our guided tours
  • Responsible for completing administrative functions such as system documentation, research, customer referrals, and follow-up
  • Works with guests to offer alternatives on cancelled tours as well as deviations to existing tours
  • Raise awareness and provide data on customer feedback as well as act as a resource for other departments within the company
  • Stuffs and mails out brochures, catalogs, and newsletter requests
  • Maintains accuracy of customer accounts in the reservation system
  • Enters reservations, cancellations, transfers and payments into the reservation system
  • Takes messages off general voice mail and enters requests into the reservation system. Also, returns calls to customers requesting to speak with a Tour Consultant.

Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in customer service-telephone customer service preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing, high-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate good listening skills with compassion and eagerness to provide outstanding service to our customers
  • Ability to handle a variety of calls with enthusiasm, sincerity, and professionalism
  • Knowledge of company goals and objectives to attain high customer service levels

 

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in the corporate headquarters in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  Hours of work are full time and will generally be during the regular business week, including occasional Saturday shifts.  There will be some variation in hours due to the time of year and department demands.  Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.

 

Ability to sit for extended periods of time, regularly access files (some walking, bending, stooping, and lifting of light/medium materials). Frequent mental and visual concentration required for computer and telephone usage.
