Dining Room Servers will be responsible for prompt service to all guests in the Water's Edge Dining Room located in the main lodge.


Starts at $5.05/hour plus tips to start/ $5.30/hour plus tips after 90 days.


Part-time year round position. Must be available weekends & holidays.


  • Perform all duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service in an efficient manner.
  • Follow all policy, procedures and service standards.
  • Respond immediately and professionally to guest service issues and report the situation to the manager on duty.
  • Accurately record and enter all food and beverage items in to the POS system; pick up, garnish, and serve food and beverages promptly to guests; collect and process forms of payment; ensuring guest satisfaction throughout.
  • Knowledge of all menus: Specials, features, food, and beverages.
  • Knowledge of general guest information.
  • Maximize sales by using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Offer and serve alcoholic beverages while adhering to established Xanterra alcohol policies.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner with the awareness that most actions and communications are within guest view. Ensure a congenial atmosphere for all.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room and service areas.
  • Complete assigned duties within each shift.
  • Responsible for collecting accurate payment from the guest and depositing the exact amount of sales.
  • Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors: front and back-of-house.


  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • At least 1 year of previous serving experience required
  • Communication skills
  • Basic reading & writing skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull
  • Ability to work any shift, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Previous experience using Micros or other POS system in a restaurant environment preferred.
  • Alcohol service certification a plus, if not, must attend a Company provided training session within 30 days.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within service time frames established by the company.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • High volume serving experience preferably in a fine dining setting required
  • Must have a professional, courteous and friendly manner. 
  • Must be able to occasionally bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch, kneel and repeatedly carry up to 50 lbs and stand for several hours at a time.
