Responsibilities
Assist in setting up and breaking down production areas in accordance with kitchen sanitation standards ensuring that all wok areas are clean and organized
Prep stocks, soups, sauces, dressings, etc.
Accurately measure ingredients to specifications.
Maintain product rotation to decrease food waste.
Store leftover product per kitchen sanitation standards.
Prepare food by weight per recipe specifications at 100% accuracy.
Does prep for all kitchen stations.
Perform basic knife work and utilize common kitchen equipment such as steamers, slicers, grills ,kettles and mixers.
Finish production sheets and records.
Ensure clean cooking area, utensils and equipment using established sanitation standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Kitchen experience of one to two years in a kitchen utility position.
- Ability to understand food production procedures and read recipes.
- Ability to understand food sanitation standards and implement them in work.
- Ability to learn safe and sanitary knife handling skills.
