General Maintenance

The General Maintenance Staff provides skill and manpower to park wide locations to facilitate openings and closings and for repair and maintenance needed to keep location facilities in good working order.


Heavy Equipment Operator

The Heavy Equipment Operator provides equipment and man power park wide to facilitate opening, closing and general operation of facilities.  Some duties may include Assisting with concrete and asphalt patching, heavy snow shoveling, snow pole placement, utility repairs and tree sawyer work.  Driving of large trucks, dump trucks, skid steers and other Heavy Equipment as needed.  A clean driving record and CDL are required for this position. 

Dates: This position begins in mid-March and continues into October.


Preservation Craftsperson

The Preservation Maintenance Crew Craftsperson Helps preserve, maintain and repair historic facilities, working with the Engineering Department in documenting any activity on Xanterra operated buildings listed on the National Historic Register in Yellowstone National Park.


 Winter Keeper

Performs winter keeping on park structures assigned to Xanterra to include on-site inspections of structures and snow removal as to prevent excess snow loads.  This is a physical position that may require travel by skis, snowshoes and snowmobile.
