Overview

The Parking Facility Manager is responsibile for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the parking garage. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. As the manager, this position will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and inspect the performance of assigned staff, ensuring that all procedures are completed to the properties standards. Schedule and approve work of employees; evaluate performance on a regular basis.
  • Ensure quality customer service and guest satisfaction in accordance to established procedures including the investigation and resolution of customer service complaints.
  • Maintain oversight of all Parking operation functions, including being present at all assigned events to maintain client relationship; assisting operations in the execution of events; working with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all parking related details; and to ensure all special requests are met.
  • Act as a liaison between the guest and the property staff; participate in arranging and coordinating all parking details bus tours, special events, employee parking and other occurrences that require parking; confer with other departments to coordinate needs.
  • Write proposals, strategies, contracts, function sheets with detailed operations information; negotiate and close contracts, obtain deposits and final payments.
  • Analyze information concerning facility operation such as daily staffing, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations; accurately maintain forecasting reports.
  • Inspect parking lot facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health codes and internal safety regulations; Estimate and requisition/purchase needed supplies and equipment.
  • Monitors construction operations.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years guest service management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience operating or managing a revenue generating department including the management of the budget and financial plans.
  • Understanding of, and experience with electronic point of sale systems and back-office administrator programs.
  • Demonstrated experience with guest satisfaction and with operating according to proper procedures.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
