  • Overview

    The Banquet Captain will assist in all aspects of our Banquet Operations and occasionally help out in the restaurant for ala carte service.


    • Set up and breakdown of banquet functions in various locations.
    • The planning and coordinating of banquet events including; banquet bar operations, serving in a fine dining atmosphere, serving food and beverage in off premises locations, meetings and conferences.
    • Responsible for ringing up most banquet events on the Simphony System.
    • Must work closely with Group Sales Department to ensure the total satisfaction of our guests.
    • Perform other job-related assignments as directed by manager.
    • Supervising any staff members working on a banquet function.
    • All other duties as assigned.


    • Excellent customer service and organization skills.
    • Ability to delegate and accept large amounts of responsibility.
    • Have at least 2 years of fine dining front of the house experience.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
    • Must possess or obtain a California Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire. On-site training is available.
    • Must possess or obtain a TIPS certification for servers of alcohol within 30 days of hire. On-site training is available.

    Physical Demands:


    • Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
    • Ability to work standing and walking for at least 8 hours.
    • Possibility of being in extreme heat for extended periods of time.
